Jersey Party Booth FAQs
Hopefully we’ve covered all your questions below, however if there is anything we’ve missed then please drop us a line and we’ll be sure to let you know.
How does the video messaging work?
Each booth has a touch screen, your guests get to choose from 3 options, prints in colour, prints in black & white and video message. The booth is fully automatic and will switch between the two modes instantly so your guests can have their prints and leave you a video message whilst in the booth. We then make you a DVD movie in high definition to watch at home. We can disable the feature also if you don’t require video messaging.
Below is an example video message, the quality has been reduced for use on the Internet.
What is the green screen option?
Our Curved Booth and Open Air Photo Studio have green screen technology enabling us to put any background in your pictures!
You simply supply us with a digital image of the back ground you want to display in your prints! it’s that simple.
When your guests enter the booth they will see the chosen background in the photo booth screen enabling them to interact with it before the camera takes the picture.
The booth can be set to print the same back ground image on all 4 pictures, or you can have 4 different back ground images for each camera shot as shown making your photo booth hire that little bit extra fun.
Here’s a lovely example of a green screen photo:
How does the email work?
Your guests have the option to instantly email their prints whilst in the booth, again, this can be disabled if required.
What is the size of the booth?
The standard Party Booth measures 1.5m (wide) x 2m (long) x 2m (high). The foot print on the other booths vary – see the types of booth page to get a better idea.
What printers do you use?
We use thermal dye sublimation printers, the same as the photo processing companies use, the best in the business. The prints are fast, touch dry and water proof immediately.
What are the different print layouts available?
There are two types of image layouts available. These are shown below.
What cameras do your booths use?
Our booths use high end professional SLR cameras resulting in sharp quality pictures.
Do you stay with the booth?
We always have a member of staff attend your event to take care of everything for you. You don’t only hire a booth from us, you also hire a complete service.
How does the guest book work?
We set the booth up to print 2 copies of each picture, 1 for your guests and 1 for your guest book. We bring silver gel pens and encourage your guests to leave messages next to their pictures. We will ensure the book is completed to a high standard and we hand deliver it to you at the end of the photo booth hire in perfect order.
Do we get a copy of the pictures taken in the booth?
Yes, you will receive a CD with all the hi res images taken in the booth after your event (the individual shots along with a copy of the photo booth prints).
Can we have colour or black & white prints?
Your guests can choose to have colour or black & white prints per visit via the touch screen.
What is the live image monitor all about?
It’s something optional we offer free with the Party Booth hire. We display the images as they are being taken outside of the booth onto a monitor for your your guests to see whats happening inside the booth. Its great fun, and it goes down a storm, if its not something that you think you would like, then we simply don’t turn it on!
Do you have insurance?
Yes, all professional photo booth companies must carry Public Liability Insurance, all our booths are also electrically PAT tested.
How long does it take you to set up?
It can take us anywhere from 30-45 minutes to set up, we will arrive on site at least one hour before your photo booth run time is due to start, this time is included and is not counted as part of your run time.
What are idle hours for?
Sometimes it not always possible to set up or break down directly before or after an event. For example, if you require the booth setting up at 6pm but do not want it running until 9pm, this would be charged at 2 idle hours on top of the hire costs. Idle hours are charged at £10 per hour.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
We take a £100 deposit to secure your date then the remaining balance is due 1 week prior to your event, you can pay by sending us a cheque made payable to Jersey Party Booth or by BACS.
